Hello Mike! I really enjoyed this poem and I'm so glad to be reading a post from you. I'm sorry it's been a trying summer for you ... but your poem is a delight and was fun to read and recall memories of summer as a kid.
Smiles,
Indy :>)

These past couple of days, I refer to the outside as sugar water humidity. Doing OK though. I thank you for the compliments and this review, Mike

Your well-written, nostalgic poem vividly conveys the point that the elements of each season, even the uncomfortable days, serve a purpose and help us to appreciate the coming season.

I loved this. I always wish it could be spring then fall and could skip the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter. I know it's getting harder and harder. Well done.

That would be a nice idea, but then we would really miss those vegies and fruits as well. I enjoyed this review and thank you for it. Mike

I live in the desert, and summer's retreat is most welcome here, so I can relate to this poem, even though I'm not old yet. I like the idea of remembering youth, to make the seasons more tolerable. Autumn is a great season in which to renew your spirit. Well said.

Wow, I had to check you out and we are not too far apart. With all of my camping, everyone told me to be prepared for the desert, but like every new clime, you can't be. I only had a taste in New Mexico, and felt rather picked on.

I enjoyed this review, appreciate and thank you for it and the compliments. I look at this poem as a faith based one. Mike

Hugs! Wow, I enjoyed and thank you for the review and compliments and blushed at the flattering rating. I got the biggest kick out of this review, because the lady who own's Poem's of the World is much relieved, and her excitement is like winning a Pulitzer Price, though without the money, even more rewarding!

Two, like the summer this is how I feel about my poetry, as I dashed the passion and love poems because I felt it was treated like a joke, though that came from my heart and spirit. But in another poetic venue, I sort of put my life on the line as well my beliefs in life and understanding of human nature.

These days it is a regret, that people seem to be more interested in settling for less, then good people of all races and religions should accept in terms of securing a stable and sustainable peace. You can never give a person an olive branch, who would have more pleasure at beating you about with it. The hidden meaning in this poem is, it is a poetic double entendre', a season we need to survive and hope to get though.

In stead of a personal reward, ultimate sucess comes to ming, with totally freaked out an actual Pulitzer prize winning poet. Passion definitely comes to mind, but I see that as a requirement, hopeless romantic and sacrifical lamb could be the final conclusion. What disturbs me deeply is I am a Mark Twain (actual meaning) in a Tom Clancy world. Strange things end up coming to me.

Again thanks, much has changed within my makeup. Mike

Yesterday, it was John Waters. It's not always the best walking on Harford Road, but sometimes it isn't far off then his movies.

I tell you what, I have had my Jack Ryan moments and the spooky thing is with my peace poetry, even in conception phase, things come very close as information seems to come to me.

In regards to another country, I directly attempted to warn them away from something, which broke my heart as it involves us. I couldn't believe just how right I was and it compromised everyone's peace, well being and safety. Personally things like this is like being in a barber shop with mirrors on both sides of the wall, so I am hoping it was only a test.

Great summer poem! The way that you use seasons to portray different stages in life is an excellent analogy, and I think it conveys well since we are all familiar with summer and winter. THanks for sharing!

I had to laugh when I got to your authors notes,I have been in a mood most of the summer, mainly because the heat this year has been overwhelming. There were no trips out for walks, no gardening, everything dying. But reading your Summer poem, made me stop and think of the fun things we did as kids, so very, very long ago. And there is still things left for my age group to enjoy. A great thought inducing poem, a really good read. xsx

Great art work and words written.

All seasons have their good and bad points.

To have summer all year would be very hot.

The seasons we have will always be.

I guess we have to continue with the seasons we have.
