Wow! It has been a long time, and thanks for looking me up. One of the hardest things for me to take was I lost all my fans here at once, it was so unnerving. I spend hours writing everyday, but my postings have slowed, as I am working on a fairly large writing project for the last couple of years.
I really enjoyed this review and thank you for it and the compliments very much.
Music has always been special for me and I have a few musical facebook friends as well. One notable in my mind is Daryll Read who is an English ex pat that seems to play in Berlin and Siam a lot.
There is also a tie in with Ray Manzarek who's title I grabbed for this, as it is a tribute poem.

Wow, for this flattering review. There is a CD titled, "Tales of Mystery and Imagination," where Vincent Price does narrations talking about poetry and music, as well, "There has not been a thought I wasn't able to put down into words." I sort of admired that quality, but appreciated it all the more after being able to write the poetry I want. For me, it means I am still functioning very much in humanity, others would call it touched.

LOL, doing OK but pushing eyeball headaches and the weather combined with thunderstorms the resulted in the Great Mid-Atlantic Power Outage. I got electricity two days later in record heat, but the neighbors across the street, just got it back yesterday (5 days). Most took it well.
I love Ray, because he is very creative and does things others won't, and to me poetry is an artistic medium, like painting and music, so it is very complimentary.
Next week, I will have the ability to put voice into the computer so I may present readings, but that is a lot more work then you think. I might be able to put music to it, but have to look into legally doing it, such as being with ASCAP.

Wow! Thank you very much! Yea, this poem has been inside me for so long, and not that it was on the top of my mind, but waiting for the right spark of inspiration. It only took me minutes to write and about a half hour to get into a post. The research took a little more time.
Music has been in my life for such a long time, and never learning to play it, is much like me not learning to paint outside a few tacit tries. When I went into poetry, I have so very happy to create poetic images with melody for others. It is a gift I love presenting to others as it supplies me with what only money is purported to supply.

In most songs the lyrics are like poetry...especially 'the oldies'...not that I know first hand of course! I really like this poem with its excellent rhyme, even flow, descriptive words and theme. Also I read your author's notes with interest. Well done, chey

I am glad you enjoyed the notes, as I like what they did in reference to poetry and music. There are also those poets out there that don't believe that music should be combined with poetry as well. I thank you very much for your compliments and this review. Mike
