This is so timely and well written. The cinquain style fits your words perfectly.Very deep thought presented here. The empty cross(before resurrection) is so appropriate. Excellent!

A very short, yet very meaningful cinquain. And yes this is very true we're called to bare witness that first came death. How very cleverly thought up. The art work stands proud with this piece Brooke. Stephanie:)

Great seasonal commentary, Brooke.
You've summarized an historic event beautifully. I was thinking about this yesterday and came up with nothing.

What two contrasting words to rhyme--breath and death--thus making them stand out.

A thoughtful poem for Good Friday. The Cinquain poem is a challenge with syllable count and lines. A poetic discipline that you have mastered in this poem. Thank you for my Good Friday meditation.

What a poignant cinquain. Very festive for Good Friday. A definite downward turn in mood in the final line. It is such a hard holiday...so grateful for what He did for us, but so sad of how He had to go through it. Thank you for sharing your creativity.

Thank you so much Brooke for this Good Friday Message - yes we have to acknowledge the death of Jesus before we can acknowledge His glorious resurrection. Jenniex
