Hi Mike,

I know I have read this before but your notes say it's a new poem due to name spelling. So me wee brain doesn't know what you mean (sob) No worries. I do like the poem with its descriptive words and successful rhyme. Again your presentation is wonderful and your rhyme is effective. Well done....chey

I spelled Pilkington as Plinkington, so I had to delete the last as I was worried if the title change would take hold. I felt, of course, why shouldn't a poem for An Idiot Abroad be written by an Idiot With a Computer. I checked the spelling of the name several times and it wasn't until I did a side by side comparison that I realized my error, but that was how my mind saw it. I don't think I am dyslexic, but that tends to happen with my constant fatigue.

I am glad that you took advantage of the error and got a second review in as you made a couple more duckets and I can't get enough of your reviews. They are always welcome and I thank you for both the review and compliments. Mike

Thanks for letting me know. Could you not just change the name on the original post?

That to me didn't seem to work, as I was immediately linking it on the facebook page, I decided to eat it and be better safe then sorry.
reply by cheyennewy on 29-Feb-2012
No need to be sorry, I was just wondering but I understand why you posted it again...chey

I love that show. Today Karl said he saw a show that had a monkey's brain on a stick that remained living. I accused him of bringing politics into it. A few of his fans liked it. I found out, he worked for the radio station and as a joke, the hosts (now his producers for TV) brought him in. But people loved him, so they kept it up. It's sort of his simplistic honesty that is his charm. I hide mine in my poetry. LOL

I get the biggest kick out of watching him. I almost want to add poetry convention to the list, because that was the way I always felt. I too had my run in with midwest drama teachers, even had them as banquet partners the second time. I did the same as he did and lit out of the production early. LOL

I thank you very much for the compliments and this review. This one pained me a bit as I origianally mispelled his name and had to remove the post to put this on up. The next poem involves a bit of art and is centered around a theme inspired around a fellow poetess' post. Mike

I wanted to really introduce people to the show. I lust for adventure, but it is always the, "Mis," suffixe that I didn't enjoy at the time, to keep what I enjoyed with life close at hand. I am very happy people with English times have lauded this poem. My early adulthood was peppered with Dr. Who and most had problems understanding British humor, especially in a life and potentially death sitution where I cracked those jokes of his.

I really appreciate this review and the compliments and thank you for them very much. Mike

Great pictures and recollections of Karl's adventures. The flow came and went. Rhyming is good and some interesting choice of words. Your subject is good, I just think the presentation could've been a little smoother, easier to read. Still very good though:)

I'm assuming this was meant to be a humor poem; I wouldn't know because I've never seen this show. My only concern is that 'Pilkington' is spelled 'Plinkington' at the end of the second stanza.

I did fix the spelling and upload a new HTML link. If possible you can check it out and update the rating as you see fit. I thank you for the correction and reviewing this. Mike

I love the presence of rhymes. Also the message about Karl Pilkington. At first, I thought this is just a poem about a man. When I saw the pictures, I understand Karl is real. Isn't he?

You made a good tribute to him with this piece.

Very nice.

I don't think Karl is an act, just and honest and person that struggles though his own show. We have a similar person who is the news man on a local rock radio station. It must be something about producers and people like Karl. Both of the mentioned have had on air prostate exams, I think it is the gulibility factor. I thank you very much for the compliments and this review. With Karl, I can relate, especially with poetry. Mike
