This has a really spring/summer feel to it, which I am SO ready for after the winter! I really loved the rhyme and how easily your poetry flows, Brooke! Such a light, heartening piece today!

Much love,
Rea x

Nice romantic pastoral poem, very upbeat in tempo, very musical. Loved the images, the berries, the brook, the sunshine, the vine, and the short iambic pentameter that just flowed gently by. reminds me of Hymn to Pan by Percy Shelley. Really in the classic romantic vein. ekpoet11

You continue to write the most beautiful poems about the simplest things and always amaze me. I'm counting the days until spring when we'll actually see these berries you're writing about.
Very beautiful!

The first line of this poem,'As berries burst with juice' rush my taste to truly find my satisfaction and true it did. Every word of your write delivers the complete delight. Berries is one among my favorite fruits. I enjoyed reading this pattern of iambic meter and find this piece a wonderful write. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed reading your nature poem. You painted a picture with the warmth of the sun, the brook and berries. I imagined the trees and leaves that holds the berries. Your artwork choice enhanced your message. It flows and rhymes well and berries taste good.

Brooke -- I sang your poem to the tune of 'Now Thank We All Our God'...a perfect fit. Lovely poem with wonderful imagery and beautiful words -- I could taste the berries; and then to end it with a prayer...couldn't be more perfect. (I'll be humming that tune all day!) Thank you, dear poet, for sharing. Unfortunately, I'm left without a 'six' to give...but know that it is deserving of one. geo

You seem to be on a roll these days with poems about flowers and berries.
I like that.
Keep it small, keep it simple.
That's a compliment ...in case you're not sure.
This is the first time I've seen 'plump' as a verb.
Cute.
Well done .....as is your custom.

Your make my mouth water! Here in the upper part of Michigan, we have what are called Thimble berries. They grow few places. They are raspberry-like but with a smokey taste. You can find them grow wild and feast to your heart's content. I can't wait. A lovely reminder of what is to come!
