Rooke. You gave me something very charming about your nature in the name your teacher gave you, Your poem is a sensible and intriguing view about the treats that surround us in nature done in iambic meter.

this is an outstanding piece of poetic art! the fresh flavor of a ripe strawberry is equivalent with a mudcake, although it has the calories and freshness of fruit salad.
i'm like pavlov's dog, the image brings the saliva.

That is so nice, Brooke, I love going blackberry picking, its something I miss here in Spain, too hot and not enough rain in my part. I guess you have guessed by now, I am not the cleverest of reviewers, I have no idea of the rights and wrongs of poetry, I just know what I really like. And I really like this. I love the picture too. xsx

Everything Brooke burbles is both wise and enchanting, and this is no exception. This is a very empowering piece, focusing on the person rather than the divine, and our place in the natural chaos around us. I loved it :-).

It is sad that most children today are stuck in a town or city. They will never know the joys of berry eating and the unique freedom that a stroll in the wild brings. Thank you for this one. I enjoyed it :-0~

Seth, thanks so much, my friend :-) Yeah, the rather rural suburb where I grew up is now a place covered by strip malls. Gone are the berries. Brooke

Wow! This picture is so perfect with your work. I have to say this is one of my favorites. The words just flow with the tune, nice alliteration and rhyme, and gorgeous overall presentation. I can't wait for blackberry season!
Isn't it wonderful where inpiration can come from.
Blessings,

Brooke, poetry has your name and number! Beautiful hymn to inspire such a fruitful poem. I could see the berries bursting forth at the sound of the music!

Mmmmm! You know how to set the table Brooke, I was ready to take a seat and wait for desert, ha ha. Excellent, succulent imagery offered up here, it looks like a fun style of poetry to sink one's teeth into :)

Brooke....wow! This was just wonderful and at a time we all need to be reminded of the coming of spring and all it offers. Your meter and rhyme scheme worked well for me...and I agree with your tune choice. There are others too I think. Thanks for moving forward with looking at tunes! Karen
