This is beautiful. It reminds me of my early years in Oregon, when I picked berries in the forests. Those are special moments in life. I like the theme of gratitude throughout your poem.

Brooke,
This is an excellent juicy poem about plump, ripe berries. It reminds me of picking blueberries when I was a child.
I enjoyed this read and found nothing to criticize.

It works just fine, Brooke, and adds a little flavor to the write. Your poem of berries is quite the write. It's as if the insight to write just stormed you. It's very well written and I love this:
I thank the brook and sun,
I thank the gracious vine,
and then I thank the Lord,
Who made Creation mine.

Hi, Brooke, I love your appreciation to the berries, and your tribute to the natural forces that enable to make such a delicious treat to enjoy. It reminds me how I used to tell my kids then, and my grandkids now, that fruits are cakes made by God Himself, that's why they are so very delicious...:)

Hello, Brooke.
This is very well done. Your notes give me a case of the guilts, because I was lazy this morning. However I did enjoy a breakfast of Kashi with bananna and BERRIES with milk.
I love these lines:
a prime al fresco meal
of nature's fine designing.
Warmly, Rebecca

Brooke, what a wonderful job you did in crafting this
plus you made me hungry for some of those delicious
looking berries. I like the part about thanking the vine
and most of all about thanking the Lord.

Hi Brooke -
Another succulent morsel for us poetry lovers (and yes, the pun was intended LOL). It's funny how we get inspiration - how one thing touches another touches another until we discover that all things sing to us in rhyme and perfect cadence. This one's a beauty, my dear ...
