911 is something we in the West will never forget. The impact around the world was stunning, but here it was gut-wrenching. In the United States it resonated soulfully throughout the Country. Not until I visited friends in Pennsylvania did I see the true measure of the depth of despair it had created. Your words paint the true picture we will never forget.

Thank you so much Ralf. Sad stuff. Bob

You are so illusive. I hope you are well and it is only your busy life that keeps afar.
-
:) Again, my dear friend. I am not on Fanstory very often. As a matter of fact I will just start showing up more often because I am starting a new Cleve Hawkins novel..I do believe you are on FS at least once per day if you are honest about it. :) I am not. Sorry I am so illusive dear heart. Bob
-
The reason I wondered is that you had mentioned a week or so ago that you would start over and review Chapter One again. Yes, I am on FS a lot, I don't deny that.
I just wasn't sure if you had changed your mind. I certainly don't expect you to give me that much attention. Especially when you are writing another book. Sorry if I seem intrusive.
-
Intrusive? not at all. I will get to your chapter right ;now. Yes, between being under the weather and busy with other things in my life, I have been forgetful Sorry for the delay dear friend. :) Bob

What a quick and succinct synopsis of what happened on 9/11 to the World Trade Center. So much devistation that day. With the towers, the Pentagon and the field in Pennsylvania.
Keep writing

Hi, MissCookie. Yes, I doubt we will ever have to witness anything as terrible as that again. Certainly pray not. Thanks so much. Bob

Good reading your work again.

Hello, Bob.
As you may be aware, in all my time on FS I have never done copied reviews or thanks for a review received. Unfortunately, I'm so far behind at this time I have little choice to do otherwise.
Please know I have read your work, and as always, enjoyed it very much. Please excuse the lack of individual comment, but if I had not liked it you would not receive this.
Fondly, and with regret for a long negligence to the site and your good work...Rebecca

This is an excellent memorial for the towers. I was an eye witness. We see the poems on the horror. I also remember the peoples spirit and courage as they had to work to get beyond IT Good work

Well written, Bob, but I doubt anyone will ever be able to impart the emotions of those who experienced that day with mere words. Like the day JFK died and the day Nixon resigned, I will remember that day for the rest of my life.

Hi Bob. It's great to see a poem from your pen - lol. I'm not a big fan of ABC poems, but yours is very well written and very aptly reminds us all (as if we could forget) of the horror of 9-11. The picture you've chosen is perfect. Good luck in the contest, friend.

Bob, this is great. What a great use of the required form.
The line which most grabbed me and made this such a memorable poem is the middle one. So original not to talk of the twin "towers", and of course "twins" is instantly enough to identify the place. And then the superb assonance of erupt/tumble. Really, a brilliant line.
"Embedded" also suggested more than one meaning - embedded in the memory, and those who perished being embedded in the ruins.
Great writing, and a great entry into the contest, I'm sure.
Best wishes
Sal

Not only is this a great ABC poem but it is also a great reminder of the horror of 9-1-1. Your lines come together nicely to form a messsage for us all.

Hi, Patti. Where in the world have you been? Missed you! Thanks so much for your time and comments with this one...Bob
-
It's nice to be missed. I've just been involved in other things lately. Just returned from a class reunion last week-end. I've also been working on my ebooks that I have published on Amazon and Smashwords. No matter how busy I get, though, I will always review your work.

:) Thank you so much, Patti. You are such a sweetheart. Bob

You have captured this ignominious event in our history with an accuracy none of us Americans are likely to forget. I think the historical commission that is sorting through twin tower memorabilia might be interested in seeing this work. You may be able to get more info about their goals and purpose on the Internet. Great job.
