A flying family--what fun! Burning their attackers--what power! And making a variety of flames with dipthongs--how novel! But creating "fireflies"--now, that's imaginative! -Joan

Hi Robina,

I love this story! Your vivid imagination has written excellent imagery and I was able to watch Mareng with my mind's eye. I am so glad he found some friends to play with and hope he doesn't kill too many with his colorful fire. Well done....blessings, chey

Good morning Robina. What a story, kept me fascinated all the way. Well put together and developed without any clutter. Characters and dialogue believeable. Dragonflys huh.

Have a great day, hugs Mia

What a wonderful story of the dragon and the fly. I loved how it felt so real, his Mum and Dad showing him how to do things, and finally finding the flies. What a story, I loved how the dragonflies came into being. I just loved this very much. Blessings

This is a great story about dragons. I like how the parents taught him to make fire. When he "played" with flies, he enjoyed it. But it says some got burnt. It doesn't how the flies felt. Maybe you could add that they liked the warmth and got to know just how far to come without being burnt and only turned different colors and the flames shooting quickly made them stretch longer. So they enjoyed this game too and sent their friends to play. --Dragonflies.

Super cute essay about how dragon flies came about. We live near some woods, and sometimes in the evening we see a ton of dragon flies flying and sparkling around. This is well written and I like the UK and Scottish english, makes it sound like a legend that was told long ago.

This was an easy to read, and follow, nice little fantasy that I am sure children would enjoy. It had a history of family interaction, the curiosity of a child, his resolution to entertain himself, and a surprise at the end.

I enjoyed reading your story very much robina. It is cleverly written and very well thought out. So that's why dragonflies are so pretty..lol.

Fun story, Ine. Though, I'm not sure how burning flies turn into dragonflies...? I get the correlation between Mareng being a dragon and playing for flies, but there's nothing similar in reality....

As a story, I really enjoyed its simplicity. It matched well with Mareng naive character. Very good, my friend.

Have a super good day,
Coop.
