Bill, man, oh, man, what a super dig! You got that right. I had to go back 63 years to my high school biology class to pull "phylum" out of my brain. It's true. We don't forget anything lol.

I love it! I love it! pat

They are the species 'Phylum Gubernatio-ionis', characterized by having two mouths to enable them to speak out of each side of their mouth and known for their ability to spend more then they have. Ray aka R. K. Alan

I am not into politics. I feel all politions are crooks. If they weren't they'd get a real job and work for a living. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your poem. Good luck with the contest.

Barbara - you are exactly right! It is so frustating to me to see people in very high "political" positions who have never had a real job.. Very scary. Bill

NO, it's occupied by an ass, now, LOL. Sorry, I don't usually get political but couldn't resist that one. Great poem for the 5-7-5 contest.

Hi Patty - cut me some slack! ASS had only one sylable. Thanks, and you are so right. Warm regards, Bill

Oh yeah, sorry. I wasn't counting syllables. That President has me seeing red sometimes, guess he also has me seeing double, haha.

Loved your message here my friend and your picture. It was so right on. Republicans and Democrats, I'm not sure what the other is. Blessings and good luck in the contest.

One of the reviewers pointed out that pachyderms tend to leave more dung than donkeys, but hey, dung is dung! Thanks for reading and your kind response. Regards, Bill

Well I admit I had to look at my dictionary, phylum is a new word to me. Thanks for that.
I don't know enough about USA politics to know whether you're right or not, but it does apply to the UK in my opinion. Maybe all politicians.
Good luck in the contest a very worthy entrant.

Cryptic but effective satire on preveiling and
unchanging 'changing of the guard' and political
ineptness.
Great job on this write. Thanks for sharing.

Clever little ditty with end good rhyming. I get the elephant and donkey phylum change but I admit I don't understand the political reference. Thanks for sharing. Frances

Hi Frances - The Republican party is represented by the elephant, democrats by the donkey. My point was that regardless of the party, very little change

Sorry I had to ask you to explain that Bill. I'm not a very political person and I'm Ozzie to boot! I absolutely agree with you though. It doesn't matter which party is in, they all renig on their promises and lie through their backteth to get in. Cheers

This is a clever political satire, Bill...only difference I can see between Donkeys in the White House and Elephants is that Elephants leave big piles of crap to be cleaned up after they leave and Donkeys smaller piles! No real change however...all crap stinks. :>)

Good luck in your competition.

I think you should send this poem to the Chairmen respectfully of the Democratic and Republican committees (maybe not respect). You have given me the laugh of the day in 5-7-5 format.

Thanks for reading Alan and for your kind feedback. Glad to make you laugh. One reviewer did point out that pachyderm piles were higher and deepter. Who knows, crap is crap. Bill
