I can't even begin to fathom the empty feeling of being without your mother.
(perhaps I can)... my father abandoned us early on after twisting and turning our lives so much that it left shockwaves for decades after.
My mother, like yours, has always been there... I dread the day she's no longer by my side.
You say it well, and with deep emotion and I feel honored to have shared her for only a moment.

This is such a beautiful piece in memory of your mother. Your thoughts are genuinely honest. My favorite part is the last stanza. Excellent work! I actually just posted a poem in memory of my grandmother, last week. It felt good to grieve on paper.

This is a great poem, one of epression and great sadness yet its beautiful as I can picture myself to saying this on my knees Dear Lord, I'd like to refrain
From the tears I've shed at Your knee
And send up a heartfelt "Thank You"
For the angel You sent down to me
Angelic she was, in every way
This treasure You sent from above
