Learning to love is wonderful, but learning to be loved and allowing people in is the very best. It took me almost a lifetime and I understand what you must have felt. Congratulations, doing it is so very hard. This is a beautifully touching chapter and so well written.

I felt my eyes mist over when I read the first part of this chapter. I think the need for love is itsself an emotion. I am so glad that you connected with your mom after so long going without a feeling of love. I am looking forward to reading more of your story. - Sam
