Being from a dysfunctional family is never easy, but maybe it makes us appreciate more the rare moments of true bonding and affection that we do share. This has been a good story to follow and I think it's important that you are telling it. Thanks. Dee

This novel is heartbreaking. I had never heard of Rhett's before. I think it was well written and easy to follow, but it made me sad. I am sorry you had such a hard time. Well written. - Sam

    Thank you for your kind review. Rhetts is quite rare. Most diagnosed with the disease do not live much longer that 6 or 7 years.

That is so hard to understand how your mom didn't see reason to be there and her daughter didn't see reason for her to be there - you certainly did a good thing in making sure it happened anyway. What a horrible thing to have a genetic disease like this in the family. Another excellent chapter and study in human relationships. Brooke

    Thank you for your kind review. When you are raised in a vacuum void of love you view relationships differently. My family simply did not know how to show compassion.
