What an awesome reflective and historical piece. I am unaware of what was scribbled on the Hoover Dam.

Most enjoyable read. The poem was captivating from first word to last.

Thanks for the excellent review. Of course John Muir's quote was not inscribed on the Hoover Dam. I just thought it was a suitable image to portray the irony of man's imposition on the landscape, and natural systems. estory

Ha! I totally thought you were saying someone had put it there. That would have been genius graffiti!

I agree with you, but I doubt many other people would. It seems they feel it's necessary to have all these things. Even the rich people who proclaim to be against global warming and chant we must do something about it, go from place to place in private jets. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on the poem. Yes there is lots of hypocracy in the world. You see the royal family of England making all these statements in support of renewable energy, and yet they are the biggest wasters of energy in the world. estory

This is well written, and I enjoyed listening to it. I don't necessarily agree with the whole idea of global warming, but who am I to know. I'd rather think that a climate can change continues to change and it's nothing that man is doing to cause it. Patricia.

Thanks for the excellent review of my piece. I think whatever the reason for climate change, I wanted to portray the unsettling effects of it on our experience of the world. The ground is moving under our feet, the landscape is changing, ways of life are changing. The trees we enjoyed for decades are dead, that beach we loved is gone, the fishing industry so many depend on is being wiped out. And if we don't fit in with nature and its cycles, the end result will be life in desert. estory
