A frisky yak,ha ha, you had me laughing. I am guessing you are meaning the boa was in love, or lust, with Zelda. I had to read it a couple of times, but that's just me being slow I think.
Congratulations on completing the alphabet limericks. I hope they make it to publication.

Hey there Steve
This is very freeking good and clever at that. I like the message it gives with out it being filled with undertones. Nice one here

You used two difficult alphabet letters, especially Z and produced two clever Limericks. 'My sweetest soprano, Lands me deep in yak guano' guano, very good - not quite appropriate for a yak but very well thought out. This is a good read and very amusing - reading your notes - no, I don;t think you ran out of oomph - well done. Regards Dorothy

Thanks, Dorothy.
Admittedly yak guano was a bit of a stretch but there aren't too many rhymes for soprano and in true Limerick fashion, anything goes!

You need a publisher with a sense of humour, Steve. Yak-guano? LOL
Tongue twisters they may be but still quite amusing and well done for conquering the Y's and Z's. Giddy

I can't offer any suggestions for improvement, Steve. I think these are really good - especially the first one.
I love "Yak-Herder Yasmin Yobliski" - brilliant!
I cannot write limericks, and truly admire the skill of anyone who can.
Thanks for the smile.

Thanks, Av.
Sorry for the long delay in replying. This has been languishing under a pile of yak guano.

I have to admit - writing twenty-six limericks is quite a challenge. They need a little work, lines 1,2 and 5 are supposed to have 3 feet, and lines 3 and 4 are supposed to have two feet. And, I sure your aware of the rhyming scheme.
I'm not sure about the other ones, I don't remember reading them.

Thanks, Barbara.
There is a lot of nonsense written and spoken about Limericks and the FanStory definition is atrocious. I believe these all have the right number of feet although the syllable count may be 'flexible'.

It's your piece. I looked up limericks on Wikipedia not too long ago. Once again though, my understanding of them is only as good as the sources which they referenced :). Sources can be a tricky thing on Wiki.

Bravo, Steve! I love limericks, and you have a whole amazing book of them from A to Z. Looks like a keeper to me... let me run to the bookcase button. :)

They appeared to be quite oomphy to me. I love limericks when they are don right and these two are very funny. You did the entire alphabet? Quite an undertaking. Well done. Nancy

oomphy is nice - must use that in a limerick one day if I can find a rhyme.
Thanks for reading.
