Douglas PaulThread Started December 23 at 4:06AM
Has anyone had any news about Douglas Paul? It's his Birthday today and I realised he hasn't been on here for ages. I went into his Facebook page and there aren't any Birthday wishes for him, and the last message is back in July. I know he had cancer, but he was hoping to have a couple more years. Just feeling concerned.

I tried calling him, but he didn't answer. Hopefully, he will soon. I'll let you know.

Thanks Yvonne, I checked out his Facebook and there hasn't been anything on there for ages. I do hope he's still with us. He's such a nice man.

Thank you, Linda. It's nice to think people care on here about our fellow writers. I hate it when we don't hear from a member for a while, especially Paul with his illness. xxx

I just spoke with Douglas in person just two days ago on the TeamSpeak3 server, Sandra.
He said he's done with his chemo treatments and is feeling pretty tired, but no worse for wear.
He goes back this coming Friday for a checkup and blood work.
He'll always be in my prayers.

I just saw this thread and I am sooooo touched by your concern for me. I can't tell you much it means. You made my day.
I just came from getting a new set of scans and meeting with my doctor. The scans still look pretty good and the cancer seems to continue to advance very slowly. I should be around for another couple of years and I am intending to get more active on the site again his year.
I am done with this round of chemo. I will undergo some testing next month to see if I qualify for a new clinical trial that is one of the new types of drugs that target specific DNA and genetic markers. If I do, then I will get latest and greatest of the new cancer drugs. Hopefully it will work out.
Thank you again for your care and concern
