They do make for a handsome couple, even though I find it kind of creepy that Trudeau calls himself a feminist. Mind you I'm a Conservative and have never fully embraced feminism as I found the movement riddled with bitter envy and hypocrisy like everything else. I hope Hillary goes out and kicks some insane ass though. To see those ignorant assholes bring up PizzaGate just today on the president's Twitter wall to cover for the fact of sexual molestation within the political ranks with the likes of Judge Roy Moore is evil. To compare the Judges actions to Mary, Joseph and Jesus is beyond the pale. Shame on you, you hypocritical Christian far right Evangelicals.

Trump tweets

One of the most accurate polls last time around. But #FakeNews likes to say we?re in the 30's. They are wrong. Some people think numbers could be in the 50's. Together, WE will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Great to have you back Uncle Donald!! It was getting really boring without you. But how can anyone believe any numbers coming from you and Propaganda Barbie when you convinced your Trumpkins you built your "fortune" from scratch? Since when is starting out with a 150 Million inheritance starting from scratch? You're starting to sound a lot like Paris Hilton. ;-)

Well, it's time for the opposition to throw in the towel. Time to tune out the fake news for good. There could be no more scientifically determined, logic based evidence for anything than "some people think". Nothing like rigorous fact-checking, eh, Donald?

Mike,

Although I would like to see all of us as simply 'humans' and find it sad that we are again writing...
mentioning the sex and/or color of a human, I
truly appreciate your positive comments.

I have not been keeping up with politics, so I
did not realize the large percent of women that
won the recent elections.

Gloria,

In my opinion your quote seems a bit over the top of sense:
(your quote referring to Trump)
"...no significant legislation. **Even worse he signed an executive order that made it easier for people living with mental illness to buy guns in order to satisfy NRA lobbyists..."

No disrespect intended, but I'm sure you can see that you have insinuated...or basically stated...that people that buy guns are mentally ill.

I'm sure you did not mean that, right?

I think you are on to something when mentioning mental illness. That is more than likely one of our biggest problems here in the US.

I'm not being sarcastic...

Hey Linda. No, I didn't say or insinuate any such thing. Trump signed an executive order on February 28, 2017 without his usual pomp and ceremony and photo opI have referenced this point previously in other discussions but here it is in its entirety for those who may have missed it. :))

Trump Signs Bill Revoking Obama-Era Gun Checks for People With Mental Illnesses

President Donald Trump quietly signed a bill into law Tuesday rolling back an Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental illnesses to purchase a gun.

The rule, which was finalized in December, added people receiving Social Security checks for mental illnesses and people deemed unfit to handle their own financial affairs to the national background check database.

Had the rule fully taken effect, the Obama administration predicted it would have added about 75,000 names to that database.

President Barack Obama recommended the now-nullified regulation in a 2013 memo following the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, which left 20 first graders and six others dead. The measure sought to block some people with severe mental health problems from buying guns.

The original rule was hotly contested by gun rights advocates who said it infringed on Americans? Second Amendment rights. Gun control advocates, however, praised the rule for curbing the availability of firearms to those who may not use them with the right intentions.

Feb. 12: Gun Sales Booming Across California as State Expands Gun Control Laws 2:00

Both the House and Senate last week passed the new bill, H.J. Res 40, revoking the Obama-era regulation.

Trump signed the bill into law without a photo op or fanfare. The president welcomed cameras into the oval office Tuesday for the signing of other executive orders and bills. News that the president signed the bill was tucked at the bottom of a White House email alerting press to other legislation signed by the president.

The National Rifle Association "applauded" Trump's action. Chris Cox, NRA executive director, said the move "marks a new era for law-abiding gun owners, as we now have a president who respects and supports our arms."

Everytown For Gun Safety President John Feinblatt said he expected more gun control rollbacks from the Trump administration. In a statement to NBC News, he called the action "just the first item on the gun lobby?s wish list" and accused the National Rifle Association of "pushing more guns, for more people, in more places."

Sen. Chris Murphy, a leading gun control advocate in Congress, called out Republicans over the move.
"Republicans always say we don't need new gun laws, we just need to enforce the laws already on the books. But the bill signed into law today undermines enforcement of existing laws that Congress passed to make sure the background check system had complete information," he said in an emailed statement.

Hope this helps. :))

Here's another one just in. Looks like the Trump boys might just be able to go trophy hunting again after all.

Trump admin. to reverse ban on elephant trophies from Africa

By STEPHANIE EBBS
Nov 15, 2017, 6:33 PM ET

The Trump administration plans to allow hunters to import trophies of elephants they killed in Zimbabwe and Zambia back to the United States, reversing a ban put in place by the Obama administration in 2014, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service official confirmed to ABC News today.

Even though elephants are listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act, a provision in the act allows the government to give permits to import these trophies if there is evidence that the hunting actually benefits conservation for that species. The official said they have new information from officials in Zimbabwe and Zambia to support reversing the ban to allow trophy hunting permits.

What Happened in the Harrowing Hours Before Cecil the Lion Was Killed

This change only applies to elephants in those two countries but questions about using game hunting to generate money for conservation efforts also came up during the controversy after Cecil the lion was killed in Zimbabwe in 2015.

The argument that "big game hunting" should be allowed on conservation grounds would be among the most pathetic, stupid, f*cked up pieces of nonsense that have ever been uttered from human lips - and considering the competition, that's saying something.

Here's a couple more ideas along similar lines:

* Men should be allowed to pick up random women on the street and rape them - providing they make a sizeable donation to a womens' refuge;

* Dumping DDT into public water catchments is fine, providing the dumper sends a large cheque to the local fisheries authority;

Charles Darwin observed "There is no fundamental difference between man and animals in their ability to feel pleasure and pain, happiness, and misery."

Countless studies have demonstrated a strong link between psychopathy and sociopathy, and causing harm to animals.

People wonder why there are mass killings by homicidal maniacs every single day, when stalking and killing other living, breathing, feeling, intelligent creatures for amusement is considered "acceptable".

If someone gets their thrills from destroying non-human life for "fun", they are a sick, disgusting individual, and a pathetic waste of the oxygen they breathe.

Not that there is any real question about it, but if Mr Trump wants to remove any doubt about whether the term "scum" is appropriate, he should by all means reverse the ban.

I agree the conservation argument for big game hunting in this regard is fucked up and absurd. But much of what the Trump administration is doing is just that. In my opinion the president is so vindictive he will remove the ban just so his "babies" can go hunting for trophies despite the possible eradication of the African elephant. And this inhumane move also opens the way for a surge in the grisly ivory trade. And for what gain for America?

Our brutal treatment of animals is hypocrisy at its highest degree. We know our pets that we love dearly show emotion and intelligence and yet somehow we are unable to transfer that same knowledge and care to other animals?

Put big game trophy decision on hold until such time as I review all conservation facts. Under study for years. Will update soon with Secretary Zinke. Thank you!

The National Rifle Association lobbied to have this ban removed. I sincerely hope the ban stays in place permanently.
