RE: Help end this brutal dictatorship

Yes, that's exactly right, DJ. The NRA and their mindless cronies would have you believe that in such cases, it's the fault of the 26 people (or however many in each particular incident) who wound up dead - because they weren't armed to the teeth to "defend" themselves against the lunatic.

Your idiot President actually had the gall to go on TV and say "it's not about guns", and "thank God there was someone on the 'other side' with a gun shooting back". Does this chump actually think he's living in a B-grade cowboy movie? There are no "sides" - that's Alex Jones tripe.

And the one person apart from the guy who killed 26 people who had a gun didn't stop anyone - the gunman shot himself.

F***ing unbelievable.

Now, looky here: y'all four-renas leave us be.
Ever heard that saying: enuff is enuff? Well, we ain't had 'nuff yet--of the massacres, I mean.
Seen the movie 'Death Wish'--parts 1 thru 5? That there was based on our 2nd 'mendment.
Of course, if angels were packing in that there church, they woulda given them evil sprites there what for, and not a single white Christian woulda been lost.
Now, nonwhites and non-Christians ... I can't say.

*Cock! Cock!* We is never gone give up our rites to bare alms--long as there's a soul left to blow to smithereens! YEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

Linda, I'm guessing that's not totally serious, but I have to confess I don't get your point. Are you for or against tighter restrictions on guns?

Michael (recon) would have us believe that Texas is already one of the states where it is more difficult to get guns, although that's pointless when one can so easily cross state lines to get them elsewhere.

Anyone know where this latest nut-job got his multiple weapons?

He bought them at the local gun store. The Air Force failed to register him as a convicted domestic violence offender. But, of course, even if they did, he could always buy anything he wanted from a private party. Legally.

I said legally Steve.
this nonsense heard spout out by Obama first about Illinois is...completely false. not anyone can and I dare you disprove it. you will be required to fill out paperwork for background check and wait at least three days for it...here and there. "if" youre buying from a licensed dealer....anyone can "gift" a weapon so long as both reside in the same state. there are restrictions and safe guards already....and this guy "somehow" even going through the checks was allowed even though a misdemeanor domestic violence charge cancels out your right...."a new law" passed...he spent time in military prison for harming both wife and child ...from what I read anyway. this man was stopped by a citizen with a gun. where do you suppose hed of went from church...? the restrictions only prevent law abiding citizens from access in the end...guns are everywhere here and people who cant obtain them legally will do so illegally if necessary. the problem is with people not metal.

When are people going to get sick of this absurd excuse? He wasn't stopped from doing what he was doing, he had left the church and was headed to his car - AFTER he'd killed 26 people.

How many people died in spite of the fact that the guy next door to the church owned a gun? 27.

How many would have been killed if neither of those two men had guns? 0.

It's not a gun problem, it's a mental problem, according to your President. No, it's a problem with mental people having guns. And pretty much anyone can be mental, if the right buttons are pushed.

Is domestic violence really a "misdemeanor" in the US, Recon? That might explain a lot.

Stupid, stupid, stupid attitude - we're so attached to our John Wayne delusions that we don't care how many people die to uphold them.

That's the story put out by the people who want to defend the "let's arm everyone" argument. Unless they have actual proof they can read minds, I don't see how anyone can claim to know why he dropped his gun as he left. Perhaps he just knew he had no further need of it, having accomplished what he set out to do. I doubt being as heavily protected as he was, and in his frame of mind, he was overly concerned about being shot - as he proved himself minutes later.

its called eyewitness account CD
ah unlike CNN it is the"most" reliable news source.
he dropped the weapon because its easier to shoot people than to be shot for some evidently. he was shot twice the leg, torso...then he ran and called his dad...before self inflicting a final shot.
