well now Vicky I'm not sure thats true.
Jesus Christ made me more than I was by adoption through God ,now my Father. though I do agree that killing for sport evil. He "has" pulled back from his initial statements and seeming cavalier attitude toward killing unnecessarily , especially endangered species. I pray he's rethinking this....I wish we were all aloud to be human...even learn from our mistakes. hope you had a great Sunday-

I wasn't adopted, Recon, I am a child of Almighty God Jehovah, bathed in the waters of Baptism...sadly though, I often fail Him, and its through His grace that I'm forgiven...I don't have to prove anything to you...I'm not a hypocrite...I know what is expected of me, and I also know that my perfection is a goal yet to be reached...you should try admitting that even you haven't reached that goal...instead of living with the belief that you're so perfect...None of us are!

Because you call on the name of God so often doesn't make you any better than anyone else here...its how we choose to live our lives that counts...I believe all people are of worth, even those that you and your president prefer to ignore, and choose to see only the negatives...or don't you believe in God's message.

"love thy neighbor"...try it, it really works...

Just Some Thoughts!

"for if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead...? if the dough offered up as first fruits is holy so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches" Romans...11-11-31
written by the Apostle to the gentials...you and me.

I assure you...I am all but perfect.
and only feel so when I know ive pleased Him. I swear that my truth. and that I'm prone to slip and fail you, myself and Him. I'm human and hard to control.

I call on God like most...when Ive hollered at all else unheard
and wonder why I almost die so often. I dont believe God sees me "better" than you Vickie...I dont understand how, but I know He loves human equally His, though most wont move when called...by choice, .

Its always easy, recon, to pick and choose specific passages from the Bible to prove a point...even then its a matter of interpretation...I choose not to enter into a conversation with you about Biblical scripture...this is not the site for it, and there are those here, that would much prefer to stick to the subject...Also in my darkest hours, I've found that Prayer will get me through, and in my happiest moments, its a joy to thank God for such a Blessings.

I have the highest respect for Mrs. M.'s, and everyone's faith, but she makes a very significant point that is worthy to consider. Some people invoke the name of God, and like she says, quote Biblical passages to support arguments that have nothing to do with religion. It becomes a deflection, and almost always sinks into a battle about who has a closer relationship with God or follows His word.

It's a way of saying I'm right or in simplistic terms, it's my ball and I'm taking it home so you can't play anymore.

Nobody is going to argue with God, but the messenger may be flawed or totally wrong in the interpretation. Either way, the conversation is over,

Roy Moore is a perfect case. Even people who believe the accusers continue to support their candidate, suggesting that good Christians must be forgiving. That makes everything right--right? It allows people of questionable morals to continue without any consequences. Just cloak oneself in religious repentance--or denial--and true believers will forgive all. Funny thing. My God will hold me accountable for all my sins. In the meantime, I'm expected and accept I must behave my soceiity's moral and legal tenets--without taking the Lord's name in vain.

hm...interestingly u-nique
when I was a lil' kid I did something stupid...well...lets focus on this one incident today....I had a ah "friend" who picked a fight with a bigger kid...a jr,high giant. and he was scared and convinced me this giant needed down sizing....we'd both see to it. unbenounced to us...my Dad was listening to our plan.
he followed unnoticed and when the giant had pinned me...I looked to Jeff...and my Dad held him back. not my consequence.

some people Ingrid...?
I evoke no religeon but a Name only given One the keys to all life, even everlasting

I automatically I guess carry His Truth into every aspect of thought not just in the religious forum....hm....
I corrected in the most less aggressive manner I could think of at the time. and would have let Truth teach the rest had you kept your tongue still.

my relationship with God is mine. off limit of your judgement and without need of your approval. though I'll give you this...it is a battle ground.
there are certain truths we all have in common in spite of interpretation...thank God.

Now that's precious. The ever humble messenger of the Almighty delivering His wisdom to the poor, benighted masses.

It's a shame for the poor heathens that their opinion is exactly that - their opinion.

Eh, Michael? ;-)

headshake...aha....my "opinion" on this is "formed" from His Word...not my own. that is the authoritative ring you hear... drive men nuts. aha...as far as your opinion that the living God does not exist, keep it if you insist, its your choice not mine. just as it is mine to claim my heritage. eh Craig...?

A book by our own Alec Gould.

One man's take on life told thru humorous short stories from his childhood on into his mid-50's; from feeling like an outcast in school to being an adult. His intent: hope. Hope in that you shall see, no matter how rough life can seem -and is- at times, that you may be able to enjoy it. Each story will bring a laugh, a smile, a tear, a lesson.

The 23rd Annual Book Awards said:
"We Really Need To Laugh" shares “memories which will resonate with many readers. Overall a creative presentation of the author’s life given in a rather sing-song poetic story telling style; a pleasant read"
