So I wonder what God would be doing now if Adam and Eve took heed of his warning.

I assume he would be up there now, bored out of his mind.

One thought: The tree was a test of loyalty and love of the couple. Without a strong (but, note: not irresistible) impulse like curiosity, it would not be much of a test.

Love and Loyalty are best proved by a strong test that, if one passes, is all the more valuable and permanent.
