Craig, I have no idea what this WBC is and their signs , fill me in on that. I have umpteen times given you the context of Psalm 137, but you refuse to accept it. So why do you continue to bring that up?, it is a seriously pathetic strawman that you keep trying to invoke.

Whatever these WBC are Craig, it is obvious what is afoot there. There are no Christians that I , or any discerning Christian would really associate with, that would in a million years think that such a thing as yielding those kind of signs as a good or meaningful or productive way to show God's love. What goes on there is a pathetic move of Lucifer ( kind of similar to that cooking with cyanide analogy) building a straw man of the church for the likes of non believers to look at and use to reinforce their already mislead idea of what it means to be Christian.

You've seriously never heard of WBC, Doug? Well, here's a little three minute snippet from an hour long documentary. The full thing is also on Youtube if you want to check it out. Typing three words into Google will find you hundreds of articles about them.

I asked you how you justified God instructing his people to rape and enslave women and murder babies. Yes, you gave a response, something along the lines of "well other people were nasty to them first". Really? Then I asked you whether you thought exacting revenge on innocent women and children for the "sins" of their parents was an appropriate thing for a loving God to demand, or whether it simply reflected a juvenile, barbaric race of people who invented the tales. I also asked under what circumstances you would smash someone else's child to pieces. I don't recall receiving a reply. But if that's all you've got, fair enough.

Let me ask, where exactly is it that God is demanding the smashing of babies heads on rocks. The Psalm is NOT that. So perhaps if you show me exactly where God demands it, then maybe I can give a more satisfactory answer.

Hey Emma , a few responses to one of yours on healthcare.

You say,

"I come back to it all the time, and I say it again, it's all about perception. In my perception, National health is the most liberating thing my country has ever done for its people (partly because I know it's history, and why it is there, and what there was before it

"I think Americans have been conned for years over healthcare, with the wealthy elite quite keen to hang on to the notion that only THEY should have access to doctors, so let's make any form of collectively responsible system some commie plot. "

You are kind of right here , Emma.
I am willing to bet, that the truly wealthy elite practice, and wish to practice the kinds of health care that the likes of I , and similarly minded people wish for. Speaking to the Brits' not understanding the resistance to public health care, that you stated. ( this care for those who couldn't afford it, we DID already have it , it was called "charity care" that worked quite nicely, but it left FAR too much money and good works on the table... To the elite's viewpoint). But we desire a freedom to practice one where "care"is NOT foisted upon them , in the form of "healthcare" that does not work....Like vaccines( forced and filled with God only knows what) , pharmakia ( drugs that cover up symptoms and perpetuate need for more of their lucrative drugs) and chemotherapy/ radiation/ invasive and metastasizing biopsies and cancer "ectomies" ( I can't think of the proper word) that at BEST , is five percent effective .
You are right that the wealthy elite ACTUALLY desire this most lucrative medical paradigm for US, but they are "BETTER THAN THAT" , and probably get that health freedom that I wish to have. Lord knows , they can afford to avoid eating the infested with poison crap that we serfs have to eat.
( Now THERE is a very real form of class warfare, G).

I don't know a lot about your National healthcare, but I feel safe in betting that THIS applies to
yours as well as ours. P.s. You kind of apply today's critics and their perceptions of "health care" to yesterday's " godsend" healthcare , which (Government funded or not ) was more than likely a bit of a different thing than what it has become today.
SO, yes! there is a very evil force afoot, and it seems to lie,(about what healthcareeven is ) steal (our money, and our health) and destroy ( kill us in the process. )

Here's an old applicable write that will say it for me:

"Mypeople are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, thou shalt also forget thy children." Hosea 4;6

A simple fact that I find very perplexing is how our society is constantly handed a false paradigm in which it is asked to function.
In this instance, it involves healthcare. More specifically, Obamacare. We are asked to swallow a large worthless pill (how aprapo), that says "our healthcare system as it exists allready is what everybody needs ! "
Now, regardless of how it gets funded, I submit for consideration the FACT that our healthcare isnt even "health" care.
NEVER does our healthcare system make anyone with any chronic disease state actually healthier, and ALWAYS, does it cover up or mask symptoms. Even it's ability to treat acute infections through the use of antibiotics ultimately inducts us into the disease state through the genociding of our beneficial intestinal flora which are crucial to our immune system. Really the only thing, I can honestly say, our healthcare is good for is emercency and trauma care. Keeping someone breathing . But maybe rhat should just be called emergency care. (I digress again )

The masking of symptoms with some kind of pharmaceutical product may make us "feel better" for a while, but notice the subsequent need for more and more pharmaceuticals to cover up more and more resulting symptoms. This ultimately brings us farther down the disease spectrum path which looks something like this... chronic pain, infection, high blood pressure, arthritis and diabetes, then heart and liver disease and ultimately cancer!!! dum!dum! dum! CANCER the big C, the granddaddy jackpot zeitgeist for the allopathic pharmaceutical jing making priests in the white robes. (Oops, I meant labcoats).

I find it very interesting that a greek translation for the word sorcery is pharmakia (strongs concordance : G5331 for anyone interested, the first two definitions are : 1: The use or administering of drugs, and 2: poisoning).

Our healthcare system is exactly analogous to taking your car into the repair shop because the check engine light is on. You then have your all knowledgeable car care expert in his sacred blue uniform give you a piece of masking tape, and has you slap it over the idiot light. Voila!! problem solved. Then, when your car has a severe "engine attack" well, now Mr. Goodwrench really pulls in some serious jing. You wouldnt go back to that mechanic would you ? ...Would you? (or, maybe with Ohgoodwrenchcare you have no choice.)
REAL healthcare would involve getting education about REAL nutrition. It involves detoxifying our bodies, and being able to breathe clean air, eat unadulterated food, and drink pure water. Then, we can stand back and let God's perfect creation heal itself God 's way. Period. PERIOD? Did i just say PERIOD? ( a call back to Obama's promise " you WON'T have to change your doctor. Period", he said)
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. "Romans 12;2.

My little diatribes are my way of, to quote a great Casting Crown's song,
"like voices in the wilderness, we're crying out, as the day draws near we sing until the whole world hears!"

Due to popular demand, a little of what the Bible has to say about the kidnapping, rape, enslavement and murder of men, women and children:

So the assembly sent twelve thousand fighting men with instructions to go to Jabesh Gilead and put to the sword those living there, including the women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Kill every male and every woman who is not a virgin." They found among the people living in Jabesh Gilead four hundred young women who had never slept with a man, and they took them to the camp at Shiloh in Canaan. Judges 21:1-12

So they instructed the Benjamites, saying, "Go and hide in the vineyards and watch. When the young women of Shiloh come out to join in the dancing, rush from the vineyards and each of you seize one of them to be your wife. Then return to the land of Benjamin. Judges 21:20-21

They fought against Midian, as the Lord commanded Moses, and killed every man. Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba - the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder. They burned all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps. They took all the plunder and spoils, including the people and animals, and brought the captives, spoils and plunder to Moses and Eleazar the priest and the Israelite assembly at their camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest and all the leaders of the community went to meet them outside the camp. Moses was angry with the officers of the army - the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds - who returned from the battle.

"Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them. "They were the ones who followed Balaam's advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord's people. Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
Numbers 31:7-18

When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies. Deuteronomy 20:10-14

If a man sells his daughter as a servant, she is not to go free as male servants do. If she does not please the master who has selected her for himself, he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners, because he has broken faith with her. Exodus 21:7-8

If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. Deuteronomy 22:28-29

Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. Isaiah 13:15-16

Samaria shall bear her guilt, because she has rebelled against her God; they shall fall by the sword; their little ones shall be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open. Hosea 13:16

Well, maybe that's enough murder, misogyny and mayhem for one post. There's plenty more where that came from, if required. I've deliberately made no comment whatsoever on any of the above - I think it speaks for itself. But I'm perfectly happy (and ready) to discuss at length the "context" which makes all of the above not only acceptable, but godly behaviour in which we should rejoice.

Forty members, "mostly" from one "extended" family, Michael. The point is, from where do they claim to get their inspiration? And they are far from the only ones who, using the same source, espouse similar views.

I happily pay insurance on everything including health care premiums. I live in the only Canadian province where a monthly fee is charged for universal health care. I do so gladly to insure reasonable health for all citizens and if I never have to use it myself, that's a good thing. DJ your dystopian view sounds so InfoWars-like. Agreed, education helps, but BOTH allopathic and osteopathic medicine have their purposes.

Wholy crow, Craig that Westboro Baptist Church is evil. We have some weird Christian sects here too. I'd like to hear a reasonable explanation of how people get such different messages from the same manual. I'm also looking forward to learning the "context" surrounding the hideously violent scriptural quotes.
