Inside our house there’s lots of room
And plenty spots to hide
There in each spot I have a gnome
To help me as I spy
The kitchen’s first, check out this spot
Behind the pantry door
I keep watch o'er Mom’s mealtime prep
While Marvin scouts the floor
See, Marvin he’s the dinner guy
Though he’ll do lunch as well
He helps me scout for food to swipe
So that no one can tell
Now, Marv, he’s got a cousin, Jake,
He stays in our rec room
From underneath mom’s side table
You’ll find we’ve quite the boon
You see, we get to see movies
When mom falls fast asleep
Cuz me and Jake snatch the remote
And then ‘stealth-watch’ TV
Of course, Jake has a brother, Bob,
He stays in the garage
He knows so many hiding spots
Amidst my dad’s hodge-podge
We’ve even built some little things
I know dad was impressed
Cuz when dad found them they went on
His top shelf on the left
Bob told me that it means a lot
When dad puts stuff up there
We both heard my dad say one time
His son had quite the flair
I prob’ly shouldn’t tell you this,
But Bob’s twin – he’s named Bart –
We sneak 'neath my brother’s bed
Look through his girly art
I promised Bart I wouldn’t tell
Not Marv or Bob or Jake,
Cuz some things should be between buds
Like our secret handshake
So, there they are: my four gnome friends
We keep an eye on things
It’s quite the job at five years old
But, hey, we live like kings!
