Misty graveyards, scary music Dean grabbed our hearts Squeezed the life from us Master of darkness He added laughter from below Perfect poet, his favorite genre Poe incarnate, he did growl Scare the children, ghosts Ghoulies on Halloween Have a candy he would say Then eat the children at play Recognized Author Notes Contest entry for dribble flash fiction - 50 words only. I wanted to write about Dean because he was a master of the dark poems. He was such a kind, Christian man. He suffered with his heart problems, now he is free. Gidget, his tiny dog used to sit on his shoulder. I wonder if she will follow Dean to the great beyond. Thanks for reading. My poem is fiction, just describing a beautiful writer, Dean Kuch. RIP.
