Haunting magic castle
What mysteries you hold
A captured regal princess
And other tales of old
A dancehall and a dungeon
A Renaissance room
No guest who enters here
Knows it’s really just a tomb
Only royal kings of old
Have graced the spiral stair
Great halls boast of precious art
All hung with tender care
Ornate decor fills every room
Each displays fine tapestry
Distractive to the costumed guest
With blinders on they do not see
The aging gracious host appears
“Welcome to my costume ball”
He offers cordial honey words
Seductive speech intriguing all
Halloween has come again
Not one knows what’s in store
As he garners up a tattered book
Of ancient spells and more
Rushing to the wizard’s den
With eagerness he heads
To prepare the sweet concoction
That the unsuspecting dreads
All will sip the poison brew
A true delight they do believe
But from this evil magic place
None will ever leave...
