One afternoon damp and hazy
I met a man a little crazy.
He offered me a yellow daisy
And told me not to be so lazy.

Lazy is one thing I am not
So tempers flared a little hot,
And of course we fought
Then I brained him with a pot.

He crawled off home to bed
With throbbing pain inside his head.
His ear was swollen, sore and red;
He's so lucky he's not dead.

I saw him in the park next day,
He told me I was going to pay.
Heedless of what he had to say
I threw him in the hay and left him where he lay.

I haven't seen him any more
Since I left him ranting, bruised and sore
With plenty more pain in store
He really was quite a bore.

Author Notes
I wanted to throttle someone the other day. I didn't, of course. I wrote this to get it out of my system. It seems to have worked.
