A woman misses her dead husband
Rainbow by Pamusart

I looked outside and saw a rainbow
It had not rained, but there was snow
The last few days, I've been so sad
I don't know why I've felt so bad

Does this rainbow change my fortune?
Will it stop this pained contortion?
I hope I can defeat this funk
I waste each morning getting drunk

I think of you, my heart comes home
The only lover I have known
But, you are gone, I had to stay
I know that death will come someday

And, when it does, I hope I'll see
Your handsome face eternally
I hope we can resume our love
And look on earth from up above

The rainbow watches me concede
To what I want and what I need
I need you even more than life
These pills will join you with your wife

Author Notes
Thank you to CammyCards for the use of the image.

How badly would you miss your deceased husband? I do not think I would want to live.

Thank you for reading my poem.
