My best friend Fia/Dutchie got a haircut.
I love her so much, touches my guts.
We are so similar in most aspects,
of course never having sex.
Daily we phone each other,
she is like a surrogate mother.
Soon she will come and stay,
for more than a day.
Like a small holiday for both of us,
never making any fuss.
She shares the bed with doggy,
Secured so no way she falls out cause Smokey
My oh my, can't wait till she comes,
ring the bells! Bang the drums!
As soon as the weather improves,
we use the rules included.
We can go to old familiar places,
seeing for me well-known faces.
Till then I wonder how grey she is,
just like in show biz.
We will laugh till we drop,
when we rock nothing will stop.
Will she kill me for this post?
I see her as a ghost.
She is not this grey at all,
but is for sure a great pall.
We both became widows,
our husband died as heroes.
We will never forget them,
they remain our gems.

Apologies that it jumps all over the place, due to huge lack of sleep.
A ballad is normally an orally transmitted poem telling a popular (often dramatic) story that is often derived from a tragic incident in local history or legend. It is often a narrative set to music. The form was often used by poets and composers from the 18th century onwards to produce lyrical ballads. In the 19th century ballads took on the meaning of a slow form of love song. The term is often synonymous with any love song. It is particularly popular with pop or rock ballads and is a popular topic for music contests at FanMusic.com.
