If I'd had the chance,
I would have liked to learn to dance
When I studied piano,
I dreamed of becoming a virtuoso
I kept the elderly company
They shared their stories and lives with me
At one time I was interested in botany
Flowers, plants and greenery
I like to write,
From my poetry you can see
I'd like to publish a book
Of wisdom and quality
Another time I thought I'd take to the stage,
Studying line after line; page after page
I used to teach,
I remember all the kids I would outreach
I love to sing,
The verse and melody say everything
All these things I might have made a career,
Except I had too much fear to build up these precious gems so dear
