I was born to become a unique individual
I was born to take a personal journey
I was born to choose my own path
I was born to grasp control of myself
I was born to succeed with determination
I was born to overcome fears and adversity
I was born to exceed my expectations
I was born to thrive and be strong
I was born to endure life’s challenges
I was born to stay focused on my goals
I was born to create an impression on others
I was born to remain firm with tenacity
I was born to never give up
I was born to live life to its fullest
I was born to follow personal visions
I was born to believe in finding success
I was born to be artistic and creative
I was born to write my own story
I was born to love the person I become
I was born to treasure what life gives me
I was born to know I have obtained fulfillment
I was born to share my legacy with others
I was born to follow the light

I was given a challenge in my writing group to write a poem starting with 'I Was. This is a personal poem from life to death. If you turn sideways it gives an image of my heartbeat.
