My heart holds a chain
that cannot be broken.
It is connected to the one I love.
I feel her kiss every morning
like the warm wetness of dew on my lips.
Yet, she is so far away.
As the sun begins to fade,
I see the shadow of my soul stir
and move mountains to meet her lips.
Yet, what I taste is the night air,
she is so far away.
I long to hold her
to caress her
to love her...
Hear me! I scream to the heavens.
I need...
that intoxicating perfume of her soul,
yet... my love is so far away.
As the sun begins to set, I see
the night smile in the sky,
the wings of an angel hold the chain out to me.
I smile in my sleep and dream of her smile
only to awake with my love on my lips.
My heart is here.

Just wanted to post something nice for my love and for those that long for their heart. It is lonely in a tent or in a rut in the ground. I know the feeling. So smile and dream. :)
