Some careless words can mock the heart,
a thoughtless probe -- vexation's tart.
So pause awhile -- consider grace --
speak verbal silk not goads in lace.
Destructive speech can tear a soul,
instead of diamonds -- lumps of coal.
A writer's soul walks wisdom's maze --
with power to crush or power to raise.
How can one sit in truth's bright seat
and not perceive the ideal beat?
Though naked eyes can't see 'round bends
grace walks beyond -- Horizon's end.
Its healing balm all wounds can tend.
or, broken hearts their scars can mend.
Thus, grace is God's eternal gift --
they're wrought in Christ to heal sin's rift.

Author Notes
Grace is a willingness to forgive unconditionally...forever. Precipitated by love for one's fellow man. God provides the perfect example in Christ, who bridged the gap between God and man, separated by sin.
Ephesians 2 : 8-9 "For you are saved by grace through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is God's gift, not from works, so that no one can boast." CSB.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomsoever believes Him should not perish but have eternal life." NKJV
