We went to a restaurant the other day,
there were seven of us in all.
I'd been there before, thought it was great.
Had no doubt that it was the right call.
But then...
So many things happened,
that got me so steaming mad,
from the horrible service we received
to the food that tasted bad.
We ordered our food about six o' clock,
An hour and a half later (time flies)
we started eyeing the left over food
on a table that was nearby.
Our glasses never got refilled,
tried to catch our servers eye.
We never did, she was just a blur
as our table she raced by.
Finally the food arrived,
for four of us at least.
That left the other three
to look with envy at their feast.
"I'll bring the other entrees out."
The server said,
"In just a minute or two."
Fifteen minutes more passed by before
the other four were through.
"Thanks for the meal."
My (ex) best friend said,
"I'm late for work and I've got to run,
my potatoes were cold, the bread was stale,
my steak was overdone!"
"I'd complain to the manager."
He said,
"If I were you."
Then gave me quite a jaunty wave
as out the door he flew.
After tables all around us
had all received their food,
the starving three of us were next.
We finally received our due.
The potatoes were cold, the bread was stale,
the steak was overdone!
It cost a hundred and sixty dollars
to finance all this fun.
You can bet the tip I left,
wouldn't buy a pack of gum.
A good excuse though,
to hit the bar and drink a lot of rum.
