We danced to the Beatle's music in the sixties.
Dave's favourite was Hey Jude.
Mine was Paperback writer.
We lay on cushions on the floor.
Drinking beer, smoking pot and making love.
We bought the Sargeant Pepper L.P.
And played it over and over again.
We loved it, life was good.
We married in '69 in the little church in my village.
My white dress was loose to conceal the bump.
That day was so happy.
Our precious son James would have been 48 now.
We lost him at 3 months..
He was beautiful. My whole life.
Dave left shortly after.
Hooked up with a 16 year old girl.
I lost my job.
Couldn't stop crying all day in the office.
Moved in with my parents
But they couldn't cope.
They died in a car crash
Shortly after I'd been admitted to hospital.
The rest is a blur.
I used to go outside in the grounds with a nurse
But she left.
Now I stay in my room
playing Paperback writer.
