Sometimes nature leaves us in awe Or gives us a sense of sobriety At the amount of its variety. It imbues a feeling of piety Because it has no natural flaws Its illnesses are started by man By using its resources as fast as we can And we set no future plan will we supply the Earth's living needs? Or hear when Mother Nature pleads? To replace the wood we chop Keep clean the air and water we use So human and animal alike Can flourish for many more years Sometime nature leaves us in awe. So a praiseful breath we breathe And for a while the darkness we leave, We finally make the needed plan So into the future pureness can span And nature can still leave us in awe Because it has no flaws Recognized Author Notes the fusion sonnet is written in 21 lines; in which the 1st, 5th, 9th and 10th lines rhyme, while the same rhythm is found in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines and, also, in the 6th, 7th and 8th lines, followed by free verse in the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th lines, reflecting an optimistic tone. Each sonnet is followed by a half sonnet of 7 lines beginning with the same 1st line and ending with the 5th line in the poem.
