Skulls don't scare me. by robina1978 Horror Story Writing Contest contest entry |
Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of language. My first attempt at horror. I like horror stories and poems. Stephen King is one of my favourite writer. Dean Kuch is my favourite on this site. I will try to overtake him with my story:) Any chance? I don't think so. Maybe I should start with a horror poem I wrote ages ago. I wrote this for a contest. It is a palindrome. Death gives peace, Life disappoints some. Run fast and escape life. Life escapes and runs fast. Some disappoint life, Peace gives death. I collected skulls. In the past I had three adult skulls, one of a child, and two of dogs. My mother got these legally. In those days it was still allowed. I kept them in my room. Later in the houses where lived. Most people were scared shit. Unfortunately I don't have them any more. Lost in all house moving we did. This was about once a year, lost count. Once of my patients offered me the opportunity to buy illegal ones. I was tempted, but did not take the risk. People can always shop you if they know too much, My most recent buy is a weather-resistant lighter. It is adorable. A show-off as well. So far I have not scared anybody off. I try to show it to any person I meet. With the weather at the moment (rain, windy, and cold) I don't meet many people. I hope for better times with better weather:) Snow would be good. We first have to get our winter tires put on. I did my best. But no way is this a winner. I certainly won't beat Dean Kuch or any of the other good horror writers on the site. I hope Dean won't be offended. I am a good loser though.:)
