How few understand these words The soldier does not fight with hate He serves with pride for those he loves That deserve freedom in their life Still it is true as well When the bullets fall Anger comes for many with fear Still the reality is life is dear Each soldier tastes the world of fear Finding times that are not clear Mind tormented with memories While learning anew the life to be free So many return with scares inside Others loss of limbs or life Each Veteran and Active soldier Find that freedom is worth the effort
