guinea pig thoughts
fill the air
like twinkling stars,
hay, seed,
wooden blocks
to nibble
a small world
but a busy one,
the day is full
squeaks, growls,
sniffing human
fingers
frequent pets
required and
desired
chasing a rotund
gray cat,
inhaling veggies
for more energy
the life of
one so small
and hairy
brings joy
to her humans

The pic is Yeti, our fluffy guinea pig. We also have a short haired brown and white guinea pig, Trixie. Life is very full for these two girls and yes, our cat Puma was chased by Yeti, like the poem says. He will not go near the cage.
