THE WORLD WATCHES ON The world watches on with bated breath As two countries play with our lives A button away from destruction and death It's a matter of which one survives Don't they know the consequences? Can't they see the effect We must charge them with these offences For neither of them are correct We must aim for total world peace We must seek this answer Before one launches a total release And it spreads like an incurable cancer The world watches on with a slim hope That both will come to their senses We are sitting on a downhill slope Hoping for better circumstances dip Recognized Author Notes Well the world watches on as these two trigger fingers wrestle on with threats and demands, accusations and denials Where will it all end
