Two mere
Days we ten
Came together.
Forty-two years were easily erased
By welcomed chatter, laughter, and friendship.
Refreshed by our
Youthful past:
Secure,
True,
With
No doubts
As to whom
We once had been.
Despite age, distance, and circumstances,
The circle of our friendship was renewed.
Memories' joys,
Journeys, and
Friendships
Firm
Now
Until
We next meet
When Time is seen
Not through bright, clear eyes that may one day dim,
But by hearts bridged once more by cheerful peals
of life's laughter
and friendship's
clasp of
love

A Multiple Tetractys poem in honor of nine remarkable women I have had the honor and privilege to know for over forty-two years.
Tetractys Format:
Tetractys is a simple and interesting form of poetry of five lines. Each line adds one syllable until the last stanza which has ten syllables.
Line 1: 1 Syllable
Line 2: 2 Syllables
Line 3: 3 Syllables
Line 4: 4 Syllables
Line 5: 10 Syllables
Tetractys can be of any subject matter and of any length, but in a tetractys series or multiple tetractys, each succeeding stanza group must invert the syllable count:
1,2,3,4,10,10,4,3,2,1,etc...
