Our
hearts are hemorrhaging
Our
minds reduced to dust
in
some cosmic galaxy
where comprehension
slipped into a black hole;

shock, fear, and pain
feeds Our survivor guilt
as
we sit in Our living rooms--
curled up in Our safety,
glued to the T.V.
watching
a flood of humanity
flounder about
in
Our swirling pool of powerlessness;

and
we concede
to
man's unequivocal need
to question it all.
