A little girl wore Mommy’s clothes
Her mommy wasn’t there.
She also lost her mommy’s robe.
She could not remember where.
The little girl bounced Brother’s ball
when her brother didn’t know,
But then the ball bounced down the stairs,
Where she was not allowed to go.
"Oh, I am in a lot of trouble."
Her little heart was beating double.
”Maybe they will blame the maid,” she prayed.
"I have been naughty; I’m usually nice.
Right now, I need to find good advice."
Who to turn to? Who could she tell?
Maybe she'd ask her daddy’s help.
"Oh! I can’t ask him,”….she shuddered,
"I also broke Daddy’s putter!”
How then, to get out of this mess?
"Oh my!,” the little girl cried,
"I have no choice, I must confess.
Confessing is better than trying denying.”
The little girl was right after all,
Despite the robe, putter and ball.
Daddy gave the ball back to Brother
As for the putter, Daddy had another,
And her robe was found by Mother.
Her brother forgave her, her parents did the same,
She made the right decision by taking the blame.
The little girl passed a huge test.
Telling the truth is always best.
