A picture this challenge
From my Window by Cass Carlton

It is nearly three,
And what do I see
From my window curtained and neat
A redheaded girl
With pedals awhirl
Cycling along the wide street.
'
Her dog at her heels
Quite close to her wheels
Ignoring horns sounding alarm
A devoted, small slave.
Heart, trusting and brave
Protected as if by a charm.

The hackney cab's horse
On his way round the course
Knows each resting place and each park
To stable and manger
He'll return without danger
To rest his tired bones before dark.

The bustle of cars
The shops and the bars
Are a dazzling sight after rain
At two fifty five
So bright and alive
I hear their noisy refrain.

"Come join us" they say
"Out into the day,
The rain will surely soon pass."
But still did I sulk
And churlishly skulk
That bright afternoon behind glass.
