There is a crack in everything that was made
and a primal fault that taints every quark
and for each stellar wonder brightly displayed
more hide cold and silent out there in the dark
and we are left lonely, abandoned, afraid
to live without hope, and die, leaving no mark.
I see my end coming, so don't think it odd
if I drop Einstein and go looking for God.
