Lady May
She's an affluent woman of the English aristocracy.
She's beautiful, yet vicious, with a savage temper to display.
Do not disagree with her or she'll subject you to feel the misery.
Of the sharp tongue of Lady May.
If you attempt to converse with her do so very intelligently.
For she will judge you by every verbal utterance you say.
So please do not commence to speaking in Cockney slang
Or you'll be committed to a madhouse for talking so crazily.
In the presence of the refined Lady May.
In all honesty.
You would be wise to have nothing to do with this witch of snobbery.
For her kind are so critical and callous,
they make moral men feel so many dark and wasted days.
So please find yourself a more tender hearted maiden,
one who will fill your life with merriment and glee.
Forever free,
from the threat of being exploited,
by the malevolent and sadistic Lady May.

Author Notes
I guess this piece can be seen as an older English man giving advice to a younger English man to stay away from the British Beelzebub known as Lady May. The theme of the poem is that just because someone can possess a kind of ethereal beauty externally that doesn't mean they have it internally. Hope you enjoy.
