A unique floral kingdom embraces the area
A notable member is the majestic protea
Fascinating too is this distinctive fauna
The rock hyrax, or, 'dassie', in local lingua
The peak is accessible by Cable Car
Rotating feature to see near and far
Hiking routes available all around
Advisable to have health that is relatively sound

Author Notes
For many years we lived just below Table Mountain. We experienced the gale force south easterly winds and witnessed the table cloth.
We were ascending the slopes in the old cable car when the wind suddenly strengthened. For our safety the ascension was stopped until the wind dropped.Hanging there was quite an experience.
