I really hate meetings each week at work
invariably led by 'Chairman Pompous Jerk'.
A familiar hand rises out of the crowd,
a voice like chalk on a blackboard and loud.
'Kiss Ass', the boss's virtues, begins to extol-
That's when my eyes uncontrollably roll.
Then 'Repeating Parrot' takes the floor,
looks exchanged-we know what's in store.
Three times same thing said, then blows her nose.
Many an eye is starting to close.
'Pompous Ass' shouts loud when she hears a snore,
we jump to attention, look alert, don't ignore.
They talk and talk, not much said, nothing really done,
same agenda each time, really, the same exact one.
Half hour more feeling like we're stretched on the rack,
the meeting over-an hour of life I'll never get back.
