THE DEAD OF NIGHT
Imagination runs amok, in the dead of night
Just my typing finger as my friend, no one else in sight
I love the time after midnight my mind is not at rest
So many things to write about when you're a Fanstory pest
I love the solitude and the quiet, just here with my muse
Sitting here just self reliant, no one who can abuse
I love the silence of the hour as I entertain myself
With words and verse that I devour, nothing's left on the shelf
In the dead of night this is my time, to write just how I feel
Just my keyboard writing in rhyme, nothing to conceal
I wear my heart here on my sleeve, I am an open book
Writing things that I believe are worth a second look
The witching hour is here upon me, I continue with my writing
Nothing here is really beyond me , I really like reciting
Everything I have to say, in word and verse and poem
My inner thoughts are on display I call my poetry, home

The witching hour, the time after midnight that is when my muse takes over. After midnight is when I am most prolific with my writing. I just love the quiet of the night when everyone else is asleep, just me and my typing finger.
