praying mantis mates then devours her partner  sex and dinner   Recognized Author Notes This haiku written as a challenge about a praying mantis from my friend, Ant. Originally, I was only allowed six words, but I begged and bargained for a few more words, and won. (I didn't even threatened the removal of his head, either!) Everyone already knows the female mantis chomps off the male's head etc after mating, right?
