Came home from hitting all the stores
My puppy lay upon the walk
She didn’t move, but looked at me
I was so scared, could hardly talk.
I raced her to the family vet
Who checked her out and shook his head
Her Thymus ruptured and she died;
I got her there too late he said.
My puppy’s little heart was stopping
While I had happily been shopping.
