Unrequited love is usually associated with pain and angst. I've never understood this. Yes, there is no doubt regret and some sorrow indeed when dreams are not fulfilled. But, the feeling of being in love is it's own reward. Would you truly wish to never have known the object of your affections? Do you prefer a cold empty heart to one filled with longing and desire? Maybe I'm just a fool. :))
